AnnGro

We all know that plants need nutrients to help them thrive. But what happens when those nutrients can’t be easily absorbed?

For plants to grow optimally, they need a variety of essential minerals that can’t always be found in soil. In some cases, the membranes of their cells have difficulty absorbing certain minerals; which is why we recommend AnnGro to help deliver nutrients effectively.

AnnGro at a glance

Liquid uptake enhancer

Applies added nutrients directly to cells

Can be used as a foliar application or soil drench

Allows direct application of elements and minerals that plants may not be receptive to normally

KEY BENEFITS OF ANNGRO

  • Facilitates the movement of nutrients
  • Improves efficiency of applied nutrient
  • Allows farmers to increase the uptake of minerals and elements that plants normally find difficult

ANNGRO IS THE METHOD OF NUTRIENT-DELIVERY THAT YOUR PLANTS NEED

Developed by South African scientists, AnnGro is a liquid product that consists of ‘sponges’ suspended in water. It allows for agricultural compounds such as minerals, fertilisers and growth agents like ComCat to be absorbed by these sponges which are then applied to plants.

The sponges can easily move across the cell membranes of plant cells, and by carrying molecules directly to the cell they let farmers apply nutrients far more efficiently. Especially in instances where plants aren’t as receptive to certain minerals, AnnGro increases their uptake and the speed at which translocation occurs.

AnnGro has been proven to facilitate the movement of nutrients following a foliar application. In the case of calcium, an element that’s usually difficult to apply to certain plants, AnnGro has been able to improve the quality and shelf life of yield in potatoes.

HOW DOES ANNGRO WORK?

By mixing water soluble chemicals, fertilisers, minerals or growth agents with AnnGro, their molecules can be absorbed by the ‘sponges’ in AnnGro and trick plants that may usually not be receptive to the elements being applied. These ‘sponges’ are made of certain fatty acids that disguise the elements and easily pass through cell membranes to release nutrients from inside cells.
